What is Model UN?
Model United Nations, or MUN, is a complex environment featuring various aspects of debate, socialization, writing ability, and speaking both in public and in conversation. All this is wrapped up in a competition based on both modern and historical international geopolitics and economics. A delegate might spend anywhere from four hours to four days discussing their committee’s topic, and there are certainly topics for everybody. From the enforcement of maritime laws to the collapse of the Mongol Empire, from the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula to the Boer Wars, from small arms trafficking in South America to the colonization of outer space, any new member of the club can effortlessly become captivated and enjoy their first conference.
